At Inconspicuous, we use applied improvisation to unleash your team's and organization's full potential.
The skills learned from improvisational theatre are relevant in our everyday lives. Improv courses teach essential personal development tools such as active listening, communication, confidence, public speaking, and teamwork.
Whether your goal is to improve communication or provide your team with a fun bonding activity, Inconspicuous Improv courses and workshops have something for you.
Happy clients we have worked with
Improv is a fantastic way to learn and be spontaneous. We are passionate about working together with you to accomplish the skills you want to acquire.
Applied improvisation is taking the skills, ideas, concepts, and techniques from the world of improvisation and using them in non-theatrical settings; to business, relationships, and life.
Participants engage in exercises and, through experiential learning, are inspired and learn skills that may result in personal development, team building, creativity, and innovation.
The focus is not on building comedy but on learning these skills, enjoying ourselves, and laughing along the way.
All of our workshops are built on top of 5 pillars and principles.
We create a space where it feels safe to try new things and fail in a low-stakes environment.
By practicing the skills throughout the workshop, participants learn by doing, and learning is enhanced through guided reflection.
Participants are encouraged to “lean in” and push their boundaries to grow personally and professionally.
Through positive shared experiences, the group bonds during the exercises and build deeper trust.
Our workshops are engaging and enjoyable, ensuring participants have a good time while learning and growing.
Every team and its needs are unique, so why try and fit you in a mold. Our company is built around adaptation and meeting your requirements. Tell us about your team, what you want to achieve, and pick from our skills menu. We will work together to make sure the workshop fits your needs.
CONTACT US Confidence and communication go hand in hand. You need clarity, understanding, and self-belief when you have an idea you want to express.

An improv workshop for your team is a fun and transformative team-building activity that bring groups together in a safe environment, where they can bond while also trying something new.
We work on improvisation's fundamental principles: "yes, and", listening, building on ideas together, and having fun while you do it. We encourage you to lean in and expand your comfort zone.
Together as a team, you will create stories, scenes, and characters as you laugh along the way. All the while, you are learning valuable lessons in teamwork. At the end of the workshop, you will put into practice everything you've learned and create a mini-showcase for each other.
Mastering the art of public speaking is essential for effective communication in the business world.
.In this dynamic workshop, participants will explore a variety of improvisational techniques tailored to enhance their public speaking skills. From crafting compelling narratives to employing persuasive language and confident body language, we cover all aspects of impactful presentations.
By the end of the workshop, you'll have the tools and confidence to deliver powerful presentations that captivate your audience, whether you're pitching an idea, leading a meeting, or speaking at a conference.
Turn your public speaking challenges into opportunities with our hands-on, experiential learning approach.
Psychological safety in the workplace means that people are not afraid to voice their opinions, know that they will be listened to and appreciated, and reduces fear of backlash for taking chances and failures.
Improv performers work together in teams to create something out of nothing. The improv community has created many training exercises to get us fit for the stage to achieve this.
We use these same training exercises for performance improv teams and elate how these same tools foster an environment of safe and creative risk-taking in your organization.
Improv helps teams create and sustain a culture of psychological safety.
How would you rate the overall experience?
An exceptional team event with a lot of high energy and fun! Sarah was great at facilitating our team building activities and used improv to help us work through skills like leadership, communication & listening. Definitely recommend this to any team!
Project Manager - Novozymes
How would you rate the overall experience?
Excellent. Good fun. It felt so natural and easy - it could have been awkward, but it wasn't, so surely Sarah has to take the credit for that.
It also worked really well on Zoom, again credit to Sarah for adapting an in-person event to online.
Gavin Keenan, Senior Manager - Unity
Was there anything that you learned that you think could apply in your day to day and work-life?
Learnt the importance of playing various roles in order to achieve a common goal. Once you become a manager, you forget how to do the work. It reminded me of being grounded and going back to the roots (e.g. story building by playing both storyteller and controller roles)
Jawa, Senior Director - Unity
Was there anything that you learned that you think could apply in your day to day and work-life?
Yes, I really liked the notion of how you built on a conversation with yes or no created a certain vibe. I also liked the idea that some people are more comfortable leading and following and what that might mean for the time.I also really liked the idea that often you go into a meeting wanting to say something and it can be really off-putting if suddenly that no longer becomes relevant and how do you manage that.
